Fall Festival

Saturday night we went to the Fall Festival at the school.

Makenna got a flower painted on her face.

Keaton was a tiger.

Makenna won the doughnut eating contest in her age group. She did great!

Keaton's Pre-K Open House

Tonight we went to Open House for Keaton. He is in Pre-K this year. He goes three days a week. He seems to like school so far but wasn't sure he wanted to go back when a girl threw up in his class this week. Hard to believe Kindergarten is right around the corner for him. He showed us his room, his favorite toys, and some papers he had done that were on display. Papaw and Nana came to check it out too! It was fun.

Summer Lovin'

Back In The Groove

School has started. Our lives are starting to look a little more familiar to us. Our summer was filled with house renovation, marching band, and a little bit of play at the beach. Although it was a nice break, it feels good to be falling into our routine once again.

Vacation 2009

We are spending a week in South Carolina. The kids really enjoy it here. They go to the beach in the morning and the pools in the afternoon. It is a rough life here. School starts on Monday so this is definitely our final fun of the summer!

Today I Did Something New...

Today I went para sailing with my dad. That is a fun memory with him that I will never forget!

The Kitchen Help

In A Funk

I haven't felt much like blogging lately...it has almost been a month now since my last post. It isn't because there is nothing to blog about...Makenna has completed another week of art camp, the kids are enjoying every nice day we have in the pool, we have some major construction going on at the house, and have dealt with some family issues. I guess I am just stuck in some kind of funk and haven't quite found my way out yet. Hopefully, sometime soon this will end...

Art Camp

Makenna spent last week participating in Art Camp. She traveled around the world and back in just 4 days. On Sunday we got the opportunity to check out what she had created. She really enjoyed the week and is looking forward to the next one.

A Summer Party

We celebrated Makenna's birthday on Saturday. Her birthday was in May but Keaton was sick so the party was postponed.

Some of the guests decided to throw each other in the pool.

They took time out from swimming to make smores.

Makenna opened her presents at the end of the day.

Papaw even tried out the hula bra.

It was a fun evening.

The Sign...Revisited

This is the sign that sits out in front of Monroe Central. I have seen my name on this before when it was my birthday. This time it is our anniversary. Ten years ago today Stacey and I were married. Time sure flies by! I am enjoying our life together and am glad he is my partner as we parent our children and find our way through this journey of life.

Today Was "D" Day

Dentist day that is...the kids aren't too fond of the thought of going to the dentist but they always do great once they get there!

Patiently Waiting...

We have a huge rose bush on the side of our house.

There are a few flowers that have opened up on it but there are a million little buds ready to pop.

I have been checking it everyday for a week but am patiently waiting for it to explode.

Here Comes The Band

Today was the Parker City Homecoming Parade.

The band marched making their first summer appearance.

Only this band had a pretty cute tail end...

They were pretty excited to be a part of Daddy's band! :)

My Baseball Player

Keaton is playing t-ball this summer.

He does a great job at hitting the ball.

He isn't sure about running around the bases...

But enjoys getting a "five" at home plate!
