Fall Festival

Saturday night we went to the Fall Festival at the school.

Makenna got a flower painted on her face.

Keaton was a tiger.

Makenna won the doughnut eating contest in her age group. She did great!

Stacey did a good job too!

Vacation 2009

We are spending a week in South Carolina. The kids really enjoy it here. They go to the beach in the morning and the pools in the afternoon. It is a rough life here. School starts on Monday so this is definitely our final fun of the summer!

Today I Did Something New...

Today I went para sailing with my dad. That is a fun memory with him that I will never forget!

Today Was "D" Day

Dentist day that is...the kids aren't too fond of the thought of going to the dentist but they always do great once they get there!

Spring Luau

Tonight Monroe Central had a Spring Luau. It was pretty much a carnival with a Hawaiian theme.

They tried to win a goldfish but the balls just wouldn't go in the bowl. :(

They got their face painted. Makenna had a rainbow and Keaton had a yellow snake.

This was the favorite! They took the long slow climb to the top...

And then came down super fast screaming all the way!!

They had a good night.

A Date With Kids

Friday night we took the kids on a date. We went to Chili's for supper. Then we went to see the Hannah Montana movie. Makenna was in heaven! Then on the way home we made a stop at Jerry's for ice cream. The kids were really good and enjoyed their evening. Even mom and dad had a good time!

Happy Easter

This morning when the kids got up they discovered the Easter Bunny had left a surprise for them.

They looked pretty spiffy in their Easter clothes. Keaton actually liked the tie! (I was afraid it was going to be an issue.)

We went to Aunt Shirley's after church for lunch. The cousins were there too. We had a good visit.

Keaton's favorite part of the day was when Uncle Floyd took them to look at the tractors in the barn. Keaton was in heaven!!

Spring Break = Fun

We escaped for a couple of days this week since Stacey and the kids are on Spring Break. Nana and Papaw even came along too! We had a good time swimming, playing games, and eating.

The cousins even came over for supper and a few games. We don't get to see them very often so it was nice to spend some time with them.

A Visit With Family

Today Stacey's dad (Jay) and his friend (Fran) came to visit from Huntington. We took them to the Chocolate Moose for lunch. They enjoyed the restaurant and we enjoyed the visit. We don't get to see them very often. It was a good day.

Play Time

Makenna only had a half day of school today and the weather outside was pretty good so we walked to the Farmland park. The kids enjoyed playing for a while. They are really ready for the warmer temps so they can be outside more often.
